Rapids Rugby make up 10% of the athletes at BC Rugby’s Kamloops 7’s
Another success! Rapids Rugby players made up 10% of the athletes at BC Rugby’s Kamloops 7’s, which had teams from all the western provinces. We also had 3 teams take home silvers, U18 boys as well U14 boys and girls. A hugely successful and fun weekend for our athletes with the help of their coaches and managers! A big thank you to Ona for all her organizing. Getting 110 teens to Kamloops and back is no easy feat!
Jessica Postle earns a spot on the Canadian National U20 team
Jessica Postle (2nd from right), who has been with our program since the beginning earned a spot on the Canadian National U20 team this past summer. Despite being a year younger, Jessica impressed with her tenacious and physical play. The team played the U.S. and Welsh teams in Ottawa in July alongside the National Women’s team who played Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. attracting the largest crowd ever at a women’s rugby event here in Canada. Jessica is in her sophomore year at Central Washington University and we look forward to seeing her continue her pathway to the women’s national team.
